NES Video Game Cartrage Durability – SOOOO much better than CDs

Through an awesome series of, not recommended, experiments, we see NES cartridges can take a massive amount of abuse before they have any problems. Why is everything on CDs now? they are so much less durable because of heat, scratches, microwaves.. lol. I know cds hold lots more data, but really we could make games on just as durable solid state hard drives for maybe a slightly higher cost, but them how would game companies make more money off selling you multiple copies of the same game cause your cat bit one?

Mario has trouble deciding what to wear also

Well, I guess Mario has lots of weird suits and clothes to pick from every morning…   must be a real pain in the ass to have to pick between being able to fly and being able to shoot fireballs…   I would have to bring several changes of clothes with me everywhere.  I think this pic covers all of Marios various personas ..let me know if you notice any missing.

Amazing Line art and Illustration by Si Scott

I’m not often impressed by others art, or my own for that matter, but I ran across Si Scott’s art on some website out there in cyberspace and just had to share it further…  hope he doesn’t mind.

According to his agents site his “style has won him a prestigious and ever-expanding client list, including Vogue, Nike, Polydor, Guinness, MTV, Absolut, Tiffany & Co, Miller and American Express”.

As for his actual art; it’s a mix of mostly very fluid line art reminiscent of a french art nouveau style with great typography and sometimes getting further towards illustration instead of just line drawings. The style seems to lend itself perfectly to advertising and product or brand promotion.

Anyhow, I don’t want to ramble on too much, so check out his work:

Sweet looking Rainbow Colored Flowers.

Rainbows used to be reserved for chasing pots of gold on a lazy sunday afternoon. But this cool discovery by flower growers River Flowers and FJ Zandbergen & Zn from the Netherlands allows us to have a rainbow spilled onto the petals of any flowering plant! The petals are not painted or directly died by the artist; instead the stem is injected with the color, a special extract, which is strictly controlled and surgically injected exactly to produce the exact color desired and on how many petals the color will affect. The flowers absorb the injected color and become unusually bright and vibrant colors. The new designer flowers will likely start popping up in all sorts of places in the near future. Although it’s still expensive, wouldn’t you like to get your favorite flower in your favorite color…  even if that’s not the way nature designed it?

Kid Scores and Amazing Hockey Goal

One of the coolest goals I’ve ever seen in hockey…  even if it is just a one on one challenge instead of being in an actual game. The best part is that the goalie just stands there and doesn’t even know what the hell just happened to him…   like you would have thought to puck up the puck spin around and slap it in the goal..  right. Totally awesome.
